After a particularly hallowing day at work, I found myself downtown attempting to drown my stress in iced coffee and piano practice at Harold Washington Library. As I made my way between destinations, the sun arrested my negativity down Adams St. Bright, bold, unabated in its strength even surrounded by skyscrapers, the sun in that moment spoke volumes. I received that no matter the dark conditions on the ground, a greater light will always shine through. That for me epitomizes Chicago's 'simple good.'
