Chicago Placemaking Challenge

Abandoned River North Lot
Larrabee & Crosby Ave
August 16 2014 6:00, pm

Participate in a community Placemaking Project which will beautify an abandoned lot in Chicago in an area which was once known as the Cabrini Projects.

On Saturday, August 16th, from 11-5pm, we will be bringing together local residents, orgs, local business and companies such as Groupon, Chicago Ideas Week, Lightbank, Cabrini Legal Aid and Near North Unity Program - NNUP to clean up an abandoned lot on Larrabee and Crosby as well as create a powerful photo installation of faces of community members of the area which will in turn transform messages of personal identity into works of art.

We need your help! Whether its for a half hour or all day, we are calling the community to rally together to unite the changing community and create beauty in the neighborhood together!
